This is a video of a 3d model I created with Spencer Stuard in 2009. I was working at the Leatherby Libraries at Chapman University as a Library Systems Technician at that time. Spencer Stuard was a student employee of the Library Systems and Technology Department that year.
We produced a virtual tour video with a script written by the administration. This is my edit of the 10 minutes of footage we generated.
Working off of floor maps we built each floor and every object in them using Blender 2.4. Spencer was more adept at texturing than I was so I tried to learn what I could from him. To render the individual frames for the animation we commandeered a library classroom that had 40 computers during spring break. It took 5 days to render all the frames. Spencer edited together the camera animation frames that we generated in Blender (over 60,000) using Adobe Premiere.
